You have all the essentials that are needed for glamming up; the foundation, concealer, eyeshadows, blushes and all the other stuff but if you lack the magic wands on your vanity you cannot turn the magic on with all those beauty potions. Hold on beauties there is no hocus pocus going on here, magic wands here are referring the brushes that we use for makeup application.
Brushes are the pivotal tools that we use to achieve the look we want to create. There are plenty of them available out there, and to be honest we are bombarded with so many options that most of the time we get confused about picking up the right one. Trust me getting your hands on the great brushes is no joke, especially when you are on a budget. But hey guess what this blog will be getting you out of this confusion. Here I am going to review the MSQ 15 Pieces Brush Set that I bought from Aliexpress, yes you read it right, from ‘Aliexpress’ I found these gems and since the day I got the parcel I have become a diehard fan of MSQ.
To be very honest, I was a bit skeptical before making this purchase as most of the time you don’t get what you see online but after thorough research and considering all the positive feedbacks I decided to give it a go. And to my surprise, not a single piece out of 15 is what we could call useless. Every single piece worth the money that I have spent and I could totally say that this is the best brush set that I have bought so far. The cherry on the top, they are super duper affordable and totally worth every buck that I spent on it.
The Packaging: It comes in the compact parcel protected with the bubble wrap. I got all the pieces in excellent condition, and the bristles were in place as each brush was packed inside the plastic wrapper.
Price: 1650 with delivery charges
Powder Brush: The powder brush was not as big fat as I already own from the ‘Real Techniques’ but it is super soft and perfectly shaped for powder application all over the face and also under eyes.
Blush Brush: I really like the fact that the blush brush that comes in this set is actually an angular brush. The shape of this brush is just perfect to place the brush on the right spot without getting out of the place.
In this set comes a variety of crease brushes and all of these are different from one another.
This one is the bigger one and is the most densely packed crease brush among all. The length of the handle is ideal for seamless blending and this one I find the most appropriate for applying transition shades.
The second crease brush is smaller, I wish it was a bit tapered but still its a great brush for targeted blending below your transition shade.
Highlighter Brush: I am not sure if this brush is thoughtfully made for highlighter application or not, but I just simply love using it for the highlighter. This lets you apply highlighter on the area where it is supposed to be, trust me you all will be forgetting fan brush craze once you try this one on the highest points of your cheekbones.
Goat Hair Brushes
In this set comes 4 goat hair brushes which I just love applying my eyeshadows with. They have loose bristles as compared to the synthetic ones and are perfect for blending. One of these is a pencil brush which is going to give you flawless blending on the lower lash line as well as in the inner corner. While the other three are best for the lid and crease. I really like the tapered one from which you can have more controlled application across the crease.
Eyebrow brush: Eyebrow brush is something that I am really picky about. I have spent plenty of money on my angular eyebrow brushes and among all these, I like only one(which is the cheapest among all). But gurl.. let’s take a moment to appreciate MSQ as their eyebrow brush is just ah-mazing for getting precise shape without any hassle.
Flat Definer: The flat definer brush is made to press product on the areas where you want a sharp and precise application. It can be used on the lower lash line as well as on the upper lash line; especially when you want gentle smudging near eyeliner.
Foundation Brush: Here comes the star of the show. This is one of the brushes from this set that I was most excited about and this brush met my expectation as I found it just the way I wanted. This gives sheer to medium coverage and makes the foundation look as if it is your skin.
Eyeliner Brush: Eyeliner brush is tilted which I never used before so I got quite excited when I found this. This one is perfect for gel liners as well as cake liners. Plus it’s ergonomic for hassle-free application.
Contour Brush: This brush I found best for the contour and bronzer application. It is ideally packed and smooth for seamless contouring.
Angular Eye Contour Brush: In this set, you will get an angular eyeshadow contouring brush which is perfect to enhance the shape of your eyes. Besides, it’s also great for the blending.
